Important Information About Our Sessions

At Speedy Mutz Dog Gym, your dog’s welfare, emotional wellbeing and safety always come first.

Our treadmills are used as a controlled movement and enrichment tool, not for forced exercise or performance training. Dogs are never restrained, pushed, or made to continue if they show signs of discomfort, stress, or disengagement.

All treadmill work is:

Optional and choice-led
One-to-one and closely supervised
Adapted in real time to your dog’s physical ability and emotional state
Paired with breaks, enrichment and regulation time
Induction Sessions Are Mandatory

Every dog must complete a treadmill induction session before booking standard treadmill or gym sessions. This allows us to:
Introduce the equipment calmly and safely
Assess confidence, movement and suitability
Ensure the treadmill is appropriate for your dog

Some dogs may choose not to use the treadmill — and that’s okay. We will always respect your dog’s choice.

Rehabilitation & Post-Injury Dogs
If your dog is recovering from injury, surgery or has an ongoing medical condition:

Vet approval may be required before treadmill work
Sessions will be adjusted to support recovery safely
We do not provide veterinary diagnosis or treatment
Our role is to support gentle movement and confidence, not replace veterinary care.

Reactive & Anxious Dogs

Speedy Mutz is designed with reactive and easily overwhelmed dogs in mind:
Sessions take place in a calm, controlled environment
There is no expectation of “pushing through” stress

Progress is measured by comfort and confidence, not duration or distance.

Session Lengths & Pricing
Session times include:

Warm-up and cool-down
Breaks for rest, enrichment and regulation
Handling and observation time

Your dog may not be on the treadmill for the full session — this is intentional and welfare-led.
